| I drew the original pencil-and-paper version about one or two years ago. I wasn't too good with proportions then, so I had two 'How-to-Draw' books open while I did it. The bang line looked a little weird, but other than that I was extremely proud of it. When I got PhotoShop LE, it was one of the first pictures to get a makeover. But then, after I lost and re-installed the program, I realized that the PhotoShopped version wasn't as good as I'd thought. So, I took the original sketch and went back to redo the whole thing. As you can see, it turned out quite well. There are, of course, still a few things I could've done better, but I love it. What I'm impressed most by is the lighting on her face. I wasn't going to do it at first, but when the highlighting airbrush slipped, it made a mark on her face that looked strangely in place, so I rolled with it. It really gives her a sinister appearance, which is perfect considering that, despite her actions, she is a demon spirit. |
